the absurd man
... The absurd man is the lucid man, for he has
understood that the world has no meaning, he knows
that the universality and inevitability of death made
all things to be of only momentary value.
...He is the man of no illusions, the mind of no
secret hiding places, for he sees clearly the utter
futility of any individual life; he is always
conscious of the mad character of human living. Hence
the lucid man knows that life is not a a matter of
explaining and solving but of experiencing and describing.
